Weevils and Poli-Ticks

November 7, 1972 I was one month away from my 18th birthday. This would have been the first election for president that included 18 year old voters. The 26th Amendment to the Constitution was ratified in 1971. I was a senior in high school, student body vice-president and I was one month shy of being able to vote for my political hero, Richard Nixon. Oh well……I didn’t know that there were some skeletons in his closet that would end his presidency. Lucky for us today we KNOW what Hillary and Donald are like. I LOVE this scene from Master and Commander.
Which brings me to some fun parasites that I created with my good friend, Jim Livesey. I was creator and writer. Jim was illustrator and writer.

At the time we worked on this I don't think either of us knew that we were on the opposite sides of the 'aisle.' We didn't care. We just wanted to have fun with ticks. We collaborated and came up with solutions to problems that may or may not exist. Just like Congress.

I don't know Hillary or Donald. TV sure muddies those waters. I do know Jim. I respect and admire him. If he said to vote for Hillary
I would seriously consider it. AND, if, after said consideration, I chose
what I considered to be the lesser of two weevils, Jim and I would still
be friends.
